Iceland poppies are hands down one of my favourite flowers to grow. The seed is tiny and it has taken me a few years to get my head around how to germinate and grow these babies but persistence is paying off and I hope it will continue to year on year!
There is so much to love about them. From their range of colours, to the magic of watching one open, to seeing how much the bees appreciate their presence and that pop of colour in the winter time is always a welcome sight.
Poppies make an arrangement float and look like a dream. I scorch the ends in boiling water for 30 seconds after cutting as they say it extends vase life.
My senses are in a happy place when poppies are around!!
